The fine print, with love

League policies

How we handle weather calls and booking cancellations. For the quick version, see the quick answers on the Contact page.

Weather policy

Our philosophy

We play in the rain. Golf is an outdoor sport, and a little drizzle is part of the game. That said, we will never ask you to play in unsafe conditions. Lightning, severe storms, or truly unplayable weather are a different story. Our goal is to give you as much notice as possible while still enjoying every Monday we can.

League play: when we cancel

  • League play is cancelled only if conditions are dangerous: lightning, severe thunderstorms, or course closure by North Hill Country Club.
  • Light or steady rain alone is not a cancellation. People play golf in the rain, and we will too.
  • The final call is made by our pro, Christian Grace, in coordination with North Hill Country Club. His decision is final.

How and when you will hear from us

We know last-minute calls are stressful. Here is our commitment to you:

  • Decision deadline: a go or no-go decision will be communicated no later than 1 hour before your scheduled tee time.
  • Where to look: all weather updates are sent by league email and posted to our Facebook page. These are the only official channels, so there is no need to check anywhere else.
  • What if it changes after you have left? Christian will make the call at the course if conditions deteriorate after play begins.

Clinics and lessons

Clinics have a lower threshold for cancellation. We want beginners and developing players to have the best possible learning experience, and rain makes that harder. If your clinic is cancelled:

Refunds and makeup sessions

We do not offer cash refunds for weather-related cancellations. Here is what we do offer:

  • League play cancelled by the club: you receive credit toward a future session or a designated makeup date.
  • League play proceeds but you choose not to play: no refund or credit is issued. We understand, everyone has their limit! But we cannot hold spots for weather-preference opt-outs.
  • Clinic or tee times cancelled by the club: full makeup session offered at no additional cost.

We will always do right by our members. If something feels off, reach out to us directly.

What to bring on a rainy day

  • Rain jacket or poncho (golf-specific ones let you swing freely)
  • Extra golf gloves, wet grips are slippery
  • Waterproof golf shoes or extra socks
  • A good attitude. Some of the best rounds happen in the rain ๐Ÿ’š

Cancellation policy

Tee times, lessons, and clinics

Book your spot, and you have 24 hours to cancel. After that, you are locked in. Your booking holds your spot and supports the league so we keep all of our designated tee times, so please book with intention. We would love to see you every Monday, or as often as you can commit! ๐ŸŒ๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’š

League tee times

  • Within 24 hours of booking: cancel directly through your Bookwhen confirmation email. Your spot is automatically released to the waitlist.
  • No-shows: if you do not show and do not reach out, your spot is forfeited and cannot be offered to anyone on the waitlist. For this reason, we ask you to cancel whenever possible.

Lessons and clinics

The same 24-hour policy applies to all lessons and clinics booked through Ladies on the Links:

  • Within 24 hours of booking: cancel through your booking confirmation. Your spot is released to others on the waitlist.
  • No-shows: your session is forfeited.

How to cancel

  • Through Bookwhen: open your original booking confirmation email and click the cancellation link. This is the fastest way and automatically opens your spot.
  • Text Stacey: for clarification or anything urgent.
  • Email: ladiesonthelinks.league@gmail.com

Please do not cancel by posting on Facebook or by DM on social media. Those messages can be missed. Text or email is always the right move.

Want to swap your tee time?

If you need to move to a different time slot rather than cancel outright, Bookwhen supports transfers. Open your confirmation email and look for the transfer option. You can move to any available future slot. This is a much better option than cancelling and losing your spot, especially if the session is sold out.

Transfers are available once per booking. If you need help with this, reach out and we will walk you through it.

Why no refunds?

We keep our pricing accessible because we run lean. Every session fee goes directly toward the course, the cart, league activities, and making Monday nights something worth showing up for. When a spot goes unfilled at the last minute, that cost is absorbed. There is no way to recover it.

This is standard practice across golf leagues. We appreciate your understanding and your commitment to the league.
